PS I agree that Ripley’s cinematography and production values are stunning. But like you, I feel that that’s not enough of a reason for me to love something or even watch all of the episodes. I also agree with what you said about Oppenheimer, although I hadn’t been able to put my finger on it. I was about to watch it again to see if it made more of an impact on me, and I couldn’t make myself do it.

Thanks for the points you raised about the use of phones in pictures. It seems to me that this device has a very different role in film industry making screenwriters’ life more challenging :)

Hi Richard, I’d love to meet you for coffee and talk about Ripley. I was a huge fan of the movie with Matt Damon, but when I heard it was going to be a series starring Andrew Scott, I was very excited. He’s a great actor and I thought he was right for it. However, after watching the first episode I’m feeling that he’s just too old for the part. Casting is a big issue for me… Should I keep watching the show?

I am originally from West Tennessee. Carl Perkins in West Tennessee became more famous at least in West Tennessee for his originization to help abused children than for his music. They used to have annual Telethon on WBBJ-TV to raise funding for his originization.
