I listen to Richard ALL the time. The fact that a former professor in screenwriting from UCLA does not have 20,000 people following his wisdom is criminal. I don’t understand that his savvy and talent has not gone viral. In about 1.5 years I am going to blow up the planet in various ways creatively, and if I must, put Richard in a place where he needs to be.

I know only a few people sadly will read this, but here goes. Native American tribes revered their

Elders. Why?, because they brought wisdom and insight that the 15, 20, 30, 40 year old braves (sorry they were male dominated) did not have.

The Native Americans were well adapted and advanced vs. their insane colonial adversaries Stupid Europeans essentially.

I’m 64 and have been through a ton of shit and have both survived and thrived. My film is nearly in a place of production. How?, because I have a PhD in common sense and hustle. That is

What Richard teaches.

Finally, idiots out on social media sharing and

saying nothing re: the ability to think freely and create art, have 1M followers. I’m going to jump off a bridge. Well..no. When I

break out, I’m going to freaking tell millions of

people who “wish” (operative word) to write, to get 100% free advice from a sage.

Anyone who reads this, please copy and paste and send to creative souls like yourselves, so they may listen to a dude who has massive experience in writing and film. I don’t normally take the name of the Lord in vein. But, Jesus, Mary & Joseph.. come on people.

I also recommend his screenwriting book (the last one) to everyone who wants to learn screenwriting. It's a treasure trove of wisdom.

It's their loss if they don't want to come to the source...

One thing I've learned is that you've got to write what YOU want to write about. There's no sense in trying to guess what the market will want. If you don't like it, if you are not fascinated by what you are writing, then it won't be great. It just won't. Just write what you want to write about.
