Richard, we must disagree. Hollywood loves originals when they work (then all the sequels) but mostly not often. That's not risk-taking or capitalism at its best. How many examples did you want? You should know. Ramis and Co in the first Ghostbusters, then the 2000s female version? LA relies on recycled product. Based on history, based on a novel by... LA is dying if not dead. Lucas probably didn't mind when the Force was sold. (And that story, apparently, was a recycle of old tales). College professors and online tutors are as much to blame. As they say, sad but true. I mean, Rickman did Quigley for money. Yes, it is show-business, and those models must change - or not. The days of mothers covering the eyes of boys in a cinema in 1965 (long after the original release) when Laurence cries NO PRISONERS are long gone. Sad but true. Stream it instead.
