When Ray Kroc was asked who his greatest benefactors were in establishing McDonald's and making such a huge success from his ideas, he replied, "My greatest benefactors were persistence, nerve, and refusing to let failure and disappointment throw me off."

At his death Ray's net worth was $600 million. Today that net worth, adjusted for inflation, would be around $1.4 billion. I suspect he had many happy meals but not the kind that were sold in the restaurants. I have memorized few quotes but committed his words to memory years ago because they were so meaningful to me and still are. Best of luck everyone.
